This fuse box helps ensure that installing a fuse upstream of the LED bulbs will prevent unexpected ignition due to an LED short to ground that has happened to several people. It's also good in terms of the fact that if a fuse has blown, you can easily find the blown fuse by the glowing LED. When you're lying on your back in a storage compartment or under a dashboard, an error indicator is a real benefit. I use a 1 amp fuse in all security applications which is more than adequate for short strings of LED lights as current draw is small. Also, I use an electrical rubber boot on the power input to avoid accidental contact with other objects that could cause sparks.
