The light looks well made and works when I first connected it to my car. BUT it's not possible to keep it wired permanently as Mini seems to have changed connection since 2005 and later. From my research, I learned that the third brake light in 2004 and below has a separate wiring harness that connects the car's wiring and the third brake light wiring. There are clips on each end of this harness so the harness itself can be removed from both the vehicle's harness and the third brake light through the clips. You NEED this harness to connect the iJDMTOY brake light to the car's wiring or it will remain disconnected which I will explain later. PCB instead of using another connector. 2005 and later Mini removed one of the wire harness terminals and instead soldered the wires to the OEM third brake light, making the wire harness and third brake light one piece. The other end of the wire harness (with clip) connects to the vehicle wire harness. The problem is that if you replace the third brake light with the iJDMTOY and try to insert the car clip into the third brake light of the iJDMTOY, it won't stay in place and will fall off when you try to install the third brake light on the car. Now you can use tape but who knows if it will hold because the car's wiring will cause the connection to bend and become parallel to the third brake light, but if you look closely at the iJDMTOY third brake light connection part, it will sticking out straight, perpendicular to the world. So before ordering an aftermarket light, make sure the connection is correct. If the wires are soldered to the brake light board then you may be unlucky and have to order a brake light with a soldered harness like I did.
