Love the overall idea and with a little work they're perfect! But there are a few flaws that make them a little less than ideal. When they were brand new they were pretty good. The fabric is quite soft and comfortable, and the insulation kept my fingers warm as I closed the mittens. However, while heat keeps your fingers warm, the thumb doesn't get warm, so you either suffer from a cold thumb or try to insert your fingers where heat is present. In addition, after several uses, the seams came undone in some places. Also, the Velcro straps that hold the flaps in place are short-lived. I should note that I live in Texas, so winters tend to be mild here. I only use them a couple of times a year, but even with very infrequent use they wear out a lot in the manner described above. I still use them and still like them but wish there were more velcro and if the fabric didn't unravel. A for effort, C for implementation.
