This camcorder is very easy to use and requires minimal training. The device is quite small, much smaller than I expected, but still produces excellent HD video images. I would advise anyone purchasing this camera to first familiarize themselves with the basic fully automatic functions by simply experimenting. If you come across something you want to do better, check out the manual features that you can change to get different results. Changing the automatic settings while recording can be a bit fiddly. If you can determine before the scene begins that you need to change a feature, that change will eventually produce the improved results you want. Attention: Check manually changed settings before you start the next recording. Some changes revert to default values when new scenes are started. I was pleasantly surprised to find a few features that I hadn't mentioned before purchasing. Digital telephoto options 50x, 1200x, tele macro mode, backlight compensation and a few others were additional benefits I wasn't aware of. not worried. Once you understand that this camera is capable of recording, you are sure to love it. Taking off 1 star because I think the manual could have been more organized and detailed, and a cheaper replacement battery would have been nice. . However, I am happy with my purchase. It has many features that make it easy to create very good HD videos at a very good Revain price.
