First of all I would like to say that the result - color and brightness - of these lights is very good. I like the size of the lamps because in my case it was the only choice due to pipes, vents and other debris in the joists. They dim very linearly - probably one of the best I've seen, with no abrupt cut off like many other LED bulbs. Also, the muted color stays warm and not "lunar" like other lights I've seen. There are many things to like. BUT there is a HUGE design flaw - the wiring module containing the LED driver is TOO BIG to cut out - so you can't use it in retrofit applications contrary to step 2 of the instructions. where the ceiling is already installed without first making a larger hole and then patching it. Worse, if the driver fails, it means the ceiling will be cut off. I would say that this only applies to new builds. In the end it took me a lot more time than planned.
