Update Summary: The seller offered to send me a replacement for free believing the sensor was defective. I installed it a week ago and the results were much better. The sensor's line of sight is 6 to 8 feet, which is less than the copy of the product says, but acceptable for my use case. The light comes on when I open the closet door or step inside. The light charged in 3 hours when I received it, not 9 hours like the first one. I like the color temperature of daylight, although some people prefer warmer tones. The round body offers more flexibility in sensor placement than the flat body. I can point the sensor directly at the closet door. YMMV in ceiling mount. This closet is located under the stairs and has a very low ceiling. The replacement meets my expectations for this application and I'm glad the supplier offered a replacement. First review: The product description claims a sensor range of 10 feet. When I tried it in a dark closet, it didn't respond to movement more than 18 inches directly in front of the sensor. I tried it on different attachment points. one or a copy falsifies the properties of the sensor. Less important, it took about 9 hours to charge the lamp instead of 5 to 6 hours as stated in the instructions. when the product does not detect any movement.
