I stumbled across on a sewing blog that it was the best thing after gold and it was. not happy. The chalk is thick and not particularly fine in texture, and the entire setup is difficult to put together as a set in a study. I think I paid about $14 for it, but the truth is that it's a tool worth more than $8. The dual wheel that you can toggle is nice, but not particularly inventive. But then the older student picked it up and really liked the way it felt in his hand. So that's where this little guy shines: the girth and texture of the handle makes it easy to hold and use for those who are somewhat limited in their manual dexterity. So, here's the takeaway and the recommendation - if you're struggling with thinner and more uncomfortable spur wheels, this might be for you. Otherwise I would have done without it and continued to use individual pieces and smaller chalk mechanical pencils.
