Review on Encased Heavy Duty Protective Tempered Protector by Willie Ogunlana

It's no secret that the XR due to its size, aluminum side strips, back glass, and these (arrrg ) protruding camera. A proper protective cover is therefore a must. However, given the XR's already substantial size and weight, the body shouldn't add much bulk. I have already purchased the PureGear Dual-Tek Clear XR case as I really liked the PX-260 case for my iPhone SE. I was dissatisfied with the Dual-Tek case - the fit wasn't very precise, there was no screen protector, the buttons were hard to press and felt bad, and the transparent back scratched easily. I also needed a holster as the XR is too big to fit in my pocket. I've spent about 6 hours online and in stores looking for the best case for my XR. Encased Falcon met all my requirements: - High quality screen protector "glass" - yes. - Transparent back to show XR color - yes. - A holster with a rotating, spring-loaded belt clip - yes. - stylish case with corner protection - check. - Raised back (not just the edge) to protect the protruding XR camera - check. Doesn't block speakers/degrades sound - check - Reasonable price (I think spending $80 on a phone case is crazy) - check. Some questions I had while researching this case and the answers now that I've bought it: 1) Does the belt clip rotate - YES? 2) Does the belt clip lock when rotated to a certain position or is held in place by friction. LOCKS IN PLACE3) Whether the belt clip moves away from the holster. NOT THAT I CAN SEE. 4) Does the belt clip rub against the skin? A LITTLE FOR ME. I have to put my t-shirt under the clip. 5) Is the same holster sold separately? I'm not sure, but it's an Encase HL71FS model. 6) How does the phone fit into the holster with the screen facing in or the back facing in? BOTH WAYS. I put the screen in first to protect the screen. 7) Is the clip that holds the phone in the case spring loaded or friction loaded? SPRINGED.8) Is the back of the case (not the rim around the case) thick enough to overlie the protruding chamber? JA9) Screen protector made out of cheap thin clear plastic? HE IS PRETTY FAT. Thick enough that there are no ripples, rainbows, or bubbles between it and the screen like other screen protectors. However, due to its thickness, this does not affect the operation of the touchscreen. 10) Does the screen protector affect FaceID? NO. Although the screen protector almost completely covers the "notch" that houses the selfie camera and true-depth hardware (except for the cutout for the ear speaker), I haven't come across a single instance where this is affected was whatever. to work FaceID. Bottom Lightning connector cover/plug? NO. PLUG IS NOT SEALED.12) What's included? Holster with attached belt clip, screen protector, alcohol screen cleaning cloth, microfiber screen cleaning cloth, instructions. This Encased Falcon Grey/Clear case is the best in the world. It is very well thought out and beautifully finished. The fit, finish and tolerances are so good for a product in this price range, let alone any phone case I've seen. It feels solid but not overly heavy or bulky. It lies comfortably in the hand and does not slip out of the hand. I like how the buttons feel when I press them - there is no "false press" or need to suppress a press like there is with the Puregear Dualtek case. I'm an anal electrical engineer who meticulously examines every little detail in every product I buy. I am so happy with this case. Consider the price and that's tremendous value.
