cycling clothing is expensive. The last thing I want to do is throw away a pair of shorts because they ripped in a fall or snagged on gear or gear. This stuff works fantastic! However, please note that I have found that you have to repeat the heating process several times, but after it has been glued it does not come off. I had a pair that I tore in the crotch because I got caught in my seat on some technical trails. After the first use and washing I examined them. The 2 corners looked like they might lift, so I took the iron and applied heat again to let it cool down a bit between each use. I haven't had any issues since then and have used the shorts over a dozen times. Another thing to note is that it's hard to see, but with reading glasses inspect the edges of the patch. Pay close attention to a hint of glitter along the seam. The glitter is the binding glue that has moved to the edge of the patch and fabric. If you see this you know you have a good connection and the corners/edges are not lifting. I have repaired 4 pairs of shorts with this kit and there are still a few left. I would say it saved me over $250 on buying replacement shorts.
