Even though I give four stars I will be returning the Kershaw Ration XL because it's HUGE! The description says it should be a little over 7 inches, but I think it's larger. It is about the length of a life-size table knife and is very heavy. Although it looks like a standalone product, it's too big to fit on a mug or small packaging. It's better suited for a lunch box, and that's not the use I envisioned. I was expecting it to be a few inches longer than the regular Kershaw ration (which I also bought and will keep) but instead it's twice as long - no exaggeration. So it's a good solid product and I'd recommend it for those who are looking for lunch essentials or have very large hands, but for most people the regular size is best.
