I use my switch in manual mode 99% of the time. I originally had a pair of silicone Joy Con grips that I donated along with the screen swap. I used it as a replacement and it works great. I have a screen protector and feel confident enough to toss it in my bag as is. The grips really make shifting more comfortable. I have a licensed Nintendo case that I can no longer use as the grips make the switch a bit wider.
