Purpose of purchase: I wanted to put my computer monitor on a stand but it is about 4 inches tall. I did notice that I flexed a lot when the monitor was lower, so using a higher stand ensures I don't flex as much. Advantages: 1) Easy to assemble. The extra screws made me wonder if I assembled it correctly, but I think I did! 2) The cost was great; It was what I expected in terms of quality for its price. 3) The shelf is an added bonus for my calculator, loose business cards, and remote control. Cons: 1) I was expecting a little lower quality since it was so cheap, but I wasn't expecting the stand to be so wobbly. In the foreseeable future I will have to retighten the screws. 2) It's not a problem, but my keyboard doesn't fit on it. This is not a problem for me, but if you plan to store your keyboard below, please measure your keyboard before purchasing. Summary: I sat straighter and the monitor was slightly higher; If I bend over too long, I'll feel it on my neck, which is a pain I just can't live with. It took me a few days to get used to the higher position, but after a week or so I can say it's doing its specific job of getting me to stop hanging around. Well, not quite, but hey, baby steps!
