It doesn't feel satin, more like plastic. We used vinyl irons on the letters.

I bought it to use on the doors but it doesn't work. It doesn't feel satin, more like plastic. We used vinyl irons on the letters which melted the tape even when covered with a sheet. If you are making lower quality disposable tape and want to put letters on it then this will work for you but be aware it is not satin.
