Review on Enhanced Sony ICD-UX200 Digital Voice Recorder with Integrated Stereo Microphone (Silver) by Tim Ram

I got this specifically for recording one-on-one conversations in a relatively noisy environment, such as a hall. B. Café, restaurant, bought when several people are involved in a conversation. Putting the device in front of the speaker worked very well for me – in some cases the person took it, and of course that worked even better. In general, I am very satisfied with the performance. I was able to produce a verbatim transcript with near 100% accuracy for all conversations I recorded over a 4 day period. I did not attempt to record musical performances. In terms of construction and general operation I found it very easy to use and easy to download to my computer via the built in USB port. I was able to replay all the conversations right on my computer and start, stop and play them back at will to get an accurate transcript. (Of course you can play directly from the device, but I wanted to keep it on my computer anyway). The device is very small, smaller than my LG Chocolate phone, and easy to carry and use. For my purposes I give 5 stars.
