I was using a cotton eye mask that kept making me sweat. I bought this one to try because of the optional cool insert. The insert is easy to put in/take out of the mask. It is heavy for my eyes to sleep with, but I will use it for my migraines. I have continued to use the mask without the insert and it has been so much better than my cotton one. It is soft, stays cool even without the insert, and blocks so much more light than my old one. It has an adjustable strap that stays where you want it. I am very happy with this mask.
