Review on Panasonic LUMIX H-H025E-K 25mm Silver Lens for G Series - Micro Four Thirds Camera by Paul Gim ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I would definitely recommend the purchase, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

Satisfied - like an elephant. I bought it just the other day for landscape astrophotography, but so far I have not been able to take pictures in this genre: the weather does not allow. However, today's walk in the park with this lens made me very happy! As I get to the night sky with him, I will add a review. Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II camera, minimal processing. I got to the relatively night sky: from the balcony . The sky cleared at last, and I could not help but take advantage of this opportunity. So you can understand the conditions: light from everywhere! However, despite everything, the lens performed perfectly! We managed to capture the meteor again, and in order to make it at least a little visible, I had to seriously mock the photo in processing: I apologize. Olympus EM-10 Mark2 + Panasonic 25mm f/1.7G Aspherical f/1.7 iso 100 10 sec Second photo: Olympus EM-10 Mark2 + Panasonic 25mm f/1.7 G Aspherical f/1.7 iso 100 stack 10 frames, total exposure 80 seconds. And if this glass in such HELLish conditions shows such a result - then you can imagine: what result it will show outside of light pollution! 06/28/2022 Lightning! Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II + Panasonic 25mm f/1.7 G Aspherical, LiveComp mode.

Pros
  • Light, fast, sharp, lens hood included, not afraid of backlight. Recommended for astrophotography through a telescope!

There is a feature of lumix lenses on Olympus carcasses, namely, the chirping of the diaphragm when the light changes. This is removed by disabling the "flicker reduction" function in the menu.

Has pros: Beautiful picture, light. Has cons: Autofocus in video. Noisy focusing (only possible with Olympus bodies)
