I love this product. I originally had Govee but this was the best for my needs. A few tips: 1. The back of the glue is blue. Only pull on the blue, not the white part of the adhesive! White is what is attached to the back of the lightest thread. Some areas are raised and "bubbly" and you can reset and fix this by staying with the jig you are working with. 2. The tape base is very thin and not easy to peel off. (That's supposed to be why people comment on the cord completely detaching from the thread - it's easy to do.) It took me a long time to find the separation between the cord and the backing. USB makes sense. I used cable duct to hide the cables for a neat look.
