I bought this sealer from Beyond Paint for my countertop repainting project. I used Beyond Paint Licorice to paint my old Formica countertops and the paint product was very good and looked great. Then I completely ruined it by using Beyond Paint Sealer to seal it. I followed simple directions, used quality rollers, and applied while completely sober, and the weather here in Orange County, CA has been typically sunny and dry at 75 degrees. It was a disaster! The second coat helped a little, but the next day when it was completely dry and starting to harden, it still looked awful. Striped lines, mottled areas, some areas were matte and others were satin. I was so pissed because I thought I ruined a cool looking paint job I did with Beyond Paint All-In-One the day before. Luckily I've scoured the internet and found I'm not the only one who has gone completely kaput with this sealer. I found an answer to a solution; So I ran to Home Depot and bought a quart of Varathane Triple-Thick Polyurethane Matte and applied it directly to the stains/streaks/mess that Beyond Paint Sealer had left on me. I was saved! An hour after application, Varathane dried to a smooth and trendy matte finish, covering all the crap Beyond Paint left behind the day before. My countertops look great, the entire kitchen project is saved, and all I have left is the $32.27 I spent on this Beyond Paint sealer (which I obviously can't return as it's two-thirds gone is). Use Beyond Pain All-In-One Paint, but avoid their sealant like the plague! Go to Home Depot and buy Varathane sealer in your choice of gloss, or go to Lowes and buy Minwax sealer in your choice of gloss. I don't understand why the folks at Beyond Paint ruin their otherwise high quality and unique paints by selling this crappy sealer though. At least I stopped at In-N-Out for a chocolate shake with a liter of Varathane on my way back from Home Depot.
