Canon Powershot G10 14.7 MP digital camera with 5x optical wide angle zoom and image stabilization I'm a serious amateur photographer. I need a camera that works in all situations. The G-10 is the successor to Canon's earlier high-end digital rangefinder cameras. It's more expensive than most digital rangefinders, but I think it's worth it. The new model offers a 5x optical zoom (28mm lens). It allows full control over ISO and white balance, as well as a range of other features that can be toggled such as: B. the image stabilization. Plus image quality up to 14.7 MP. I usually shoot with a 40D SLR, but sometimes I just don't want to carry lenses and other gear around with me. I first used this on a trip to Veracruz, Mexico, trying to push the limits of what the camera could do. I don't like to take pictures with flash, except in exceptional cases. Thanks to the controls available, I was able to get the shots I wanted. This included some macro shots that would have been risky with any other rangefinder camera. The G-10 has a large viewfinder so you can see what you're shooting. I will continue to use my DSLR, but the handy size and many features make it the best candidate for everyday use.
