Pretty closet shelf end cap
The purpose of this end cap is to finish off the end of the shelf rod where it was cut to fit the closet. Clogged with a rubber mallet, at least that's what I used. This solves the problem of closet shelves being cut to size and then having sharp, rough ends. It seems that they are strong and not likely to come loose accidentally. But just in case, I epoxyed the cap as it went on, and now it won't come off. I have a habit of hanging things on the end of a shelf and the original cover was accidentally removed for this reason. So I used epoxy.
