If you've ever had a dermaplaning done by a beautician, don't expect the same results from this shaver. But overall for the price and utility this is a good product that does a good job of getting professional level dermaplaning for less than $50. In California (I don't know the rules in other states) the esthetician MUST work outside of the doctor's office to do dermaplaning since the blade is surgical and VERY sharp. However, visiting a medical esthetician can be very costly. I used it to mimic the same movements my esthetician uses and I noticed a lot of very fine hairs as well as the removal of dead skin. This gave me a similar (but not as good) result as a professional job. The razor feels good in your hand and once you get the hang of it, it works very well. Each razor comes with a clear blade guard to protect the blade when not in use. The blade also has a guard so you don't feel like you can cut your face! :) A good thing! The directions on the packaging are very minimal and I would not recommend using it as a substitute for dermaplaning unless you are already very familiar with the procedure. Overall I would buy again.
