I bought the 8 ounce size to freeze juice and other beverages in diabetic diet portions. I wasn't sure if I should defrost when defrosting in the microwave. I asked a question, but no one knew the answer. I figured I had nothing to lose by trying. I am very happy to report that low temperature thawing does not damage the plastic. I was so pleased with the results that I bought more. They are very durable and the square shape saves space in the freezer. Now I have both 8 oz and 12 oz. I use the larger size for storing milk in the freezer. Can't wait to find other uses for other sizes and other products.
