Scratches every itch

As a writer and biblical botanist, I write all the time. And I'd rather write anywhere than at my desk at home. When it comes to keyboards, I've never had a desire to use technical RGB boards meant for gamers, although I'm a bit of a gamer myself. I find it strange that mainstream manufacturers expend so much energy catering to this niche target market, which suffers greatly compared to writers and professionals who value the feel of a mechanical keyboard alike. Definitely, K2 relieves the itch I've had for a long time. I wanted a compact Bluetooth box with blue switches and a button layout specific to my iPad. And I wanted something with muted colors that would look great with whatever device I paired it with. K2 meets all of these requirements. The white backlight is a nice feature even when not in heart rate mode. While I like the blue switches, the loud clicking sound of the keys landing on the base of the keyboard tends to drown out the nice clicking sound. It's just the nature of these switches. To emphasize the click and to accommodate my wife's dislike of house noise, I added two o-rings to each cap. Not only did this achieve my goal of reducing noise levels, but it also shortened key travel. As a result, my typing speed and accuracy have improved significantly. I've included a video of this review to demonstrate the difference in sound for you to appreciate. It's still not quiet, but the noise has become much more pleasant and bearable. My wife really enjoys listening to this now and said my typing adds a nice touch to the background noise that the fall season brings. Thank you Keychron for such a wonderful product!
