Smells great. Doesn't irritate. Happy with my pie. Was it fate?

Hello and welcome to my review of Ethique hair and body samples. ๏Š Reasons to buy the hair sample: I've had major issues with my shampoos and conditioners, from allergies to fragrances and additives to not getting enough moisture for my highlighted, wavy hair and back acne (fu). So when I came across this product that promised all natural, I thought I'd give it a try. I also travel for work and any reduction in fluid intake would greatly help me pass security. Note: I've also tried a few Lush products and honestly, the best Lush shampoo for my hair smelled like flower mothballs. I will miss. Summary: Basically, all hair samples contain coconut and lime. Yes, there are a few scents that don't, but that seemed like an overwhelming theme, so if you don't like smelling like a beautiful summer's day then - boo - try another Ethique product. As for me, I love flavors so I'm happy as a punch. The size of the samples is really enough to understand how it works, how it smells and if you are happy with the result. I need something strong enough to hold in moisture without weighing my tresses down. The Frizz Wrangler does the job perfectly. Lathers well enough for a shampoo free of unwanted lathering chemicals. Smells great, no problems except the small sample broke into 3 pieces. I didn't care as it was still usable. I ordered a full size because I love this shampoo. - Healy Kiwi: I had no luck with this shampoo. Smells great, doesn't break down but makes the scalp itchy which is the opposite of what it's supposed to do. But if you leave my hair in amazing shape. Wonderful. Shape.- Wonderbar: This conditioner is a wonderful bar. It's magic or sorcery or something. I had my doubts that this little flick would have a significant effect on my hair. But wow! Sweep, wipe, wipe then rinse and my hair is so soft and doesn't tangle. If you want a smooth look, leave on for a few minutes before rinsing off. I ordered a full size because I love this pole. St. Clements: I've only used it once. Smells good and cleans the hair. No Complaints - The Guardian: Not as great as the Wonderbar, but still pretty damn good. I ended up using it as a lotion in the shower. I scrub my skin and then after rinsing off I rub this little heart all over and it gives me just enough moisture to leave my skin soft and supple. Reason I bought the Body Sampler: I liked the Hair Sampler so much that I decided to try the Body Sampler. As I said above, I have had serious problems with perfume allergies. I've even tried a fragrance-free lotion that works, but oddly I get an allergic reaction to the smell, so it's definitely something different. Summary: Lavender seems to be the hottest kid in the class in Ethique's personal care line, but whatever, because I love lavender too. (And they have other flavors too!) As above, the sample sizes are really just enough to give you an idea of how it will work, how it will smell, and if you will be happy with the results. Properties: Body soap with sweet orange and vanilla cream: It smells like orange sleeping pills, which put me off a bit. To be fair I haven't tried it so no comment. I'll probably try it in the sink instead of the shower because wow, it just stinks like a popsicle.- Lime Ginger Body Cream: Little Bar Magic. I used this in the sink to try out and found it a bit gritty. It's lacquer, so yes, but I was still surprised. Then I used it in the shower. There was a residue that made me feel like a candle. I was determined not to like it and toss it, but then I realized that after drying without the extra lotion, my skin was incredibly soft and smooth. Even my crocodile legs were smooth, with no trace of reptilian scales. I will order this full size bar - Glow Solid Deodorant (Lavender & Vanilla): Smells so good! The sample is a little small to make it easy to massage into your armpits, but once applied your armpits smell like a sweet spring meadow. It's important to note that this isn't an antiperspirant, so I had to reapply it in the late afternoon to keep my armpits from sticking together (so much phew). After a few days I was finally back to my original solid state because it's hot where I live and I'm tired of the stick factor in my shirt. But my pits still smelled great. So I wear it on my elbows or under my knees like a solid perfume. Butter Block (Coconut Lime Body Lotion): No. Just no. It was like a candle moving up and down my legs. I tried warming it in my hands which was a big mistake because then I had an oil candle to rub up and down my legs. After application, the pile stuck to me. I stayed sticky all day. I had to rub it with a rag to wash it off. I'm afraid if I used this bar all the time I'd end up with a thick layer of body armor - body soap (selected at random): mine turned out to be a black pumice, mint and tea tree bar. Smells good, lathers well, leaves black suds and stains in the sink. No big deal, just wash them off. It smells pleasant and not too strong, despite the presence of pumice. This bar is for those of us who want to get rid of the junk. I dried Elmer's glue on my hands and it rubbed off right away, but it's probably too soft to use in a garage or hardcore art studio.
