ideal for lubricating the threads of tripod locking rings and locking springs to prevent corrosion
I bought this specifically to lubricate the threads and locks on camera tripods. A nice, thick layer on both seals out moisture and prevents corrosion, allowing me to use tripods in all conditions, especially when I'm waist-deep in water to get the shot I want. Just make sure it doesn't get on the tripod legs, of course. very viscous so it stays where you put it and doesn't run at any temperature that a photographer might encounter.
