I like hobo bags because I want to carry books and other large items without having to carry them separately. But with a lot of hobo bags, everything just falls on the floor and it's hard to find something quickly. This bag is different for two reasons. First, it includes a separate detachable bag with a large center pocket and several smaller inner pockets to store all those small items that get lost in your handbag. I use it for my glasses, keys, makeup and pens. Second, the bag itself has multiple pockets. Inside there is only one open compartment with a magnetic closure, but on the outside there are two side pockets that are the perfect size for a cell phone, glasses or checkbook. There are large outside pockets with magnetic closures on the front and back. I like the choice of straps; I thought I would use black but I went for a multicolored one and I like it. I also like that this bag stands upright unless there's something big and heavy or oddly shaped inside that might tip it over. The bag itself is a bit heavy. I'm also not sure if it's real leather. It doesn't smell like leather at all, the back doesn't feel like leather and looks too smooth for leather. I take the manufacturer's word for it, but I doubt it! Either way, it's a big, beautiful bag with plenty of storage space.
