I would recommend doing this side by side so you can use the existing assembled side to align the parts. This kit reuses the regulator and regulator cap, it only includes the roller plate and lower brackets. I was fine with that as my only issue was a faulty roller. When reinstalling the regulator and cap, make sure the knobs on top of the regulator fit under the prongs, otherwise the cap will not seat properly/completely. If the cover is bent when it snaps into place, then the controller is not installed properly, start over. An illustrated sheet showing the intricacies of construction would certainly be helpful.
