Review on Turquoise Butterfly Embroidered Halter Dress for Girls – Trendy Girls' Clothing by Kristen Simpson

Not my favorite but still pretty.

Bought this dress for my daughter to wear to my sister's outdoor wedding. She wanted purple, but the dress is more of a light pink. This is normal as pictures can be deceiving. The dress fit her pretty well, except for the two thin straps at the top, which were too long so it hung a little low. Beautiful dress, embroidery and butterflies are beautiful. My daughter, who admittedly only wears dresses on special occasions because she doesn't like being too girly, was VERY uncomfortable wearing it all the time. The fabric that touched her directly, not lace, was rough and not flowing. She said it was itchy, the fabric was itchy and rough on the skin. She had to wear a t-shirt and shorts so that there was a layer between her and the dress. Which was no fun for an outdoor wedding. She narrowly survived the ceremony and asked to be removed. I understand it's a cheaper dress so I took it as it was an outdoor wedding so she could have some fun and not worry about dirt or anything. That it wouldn't be a waste of money if it were destroyed. But the material feels almost "toy" quality. Like old Barbie clothes because they were hard and rough because Barbie didn't feel it. Although cheap, it wasn't worth the price for the 15 minutes she wore at most.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Legacy style
