Joystick skins don't stay on

My son LOVES this skin BUT the cute little joystick skins he liked the most aren't staying. It was a birthday present so he was very upset because he wanted cool skin like his friends. I know this skin wasn't expensive, but it's still money spent by the buyer and it should be worth at least something.
