Review on 110-240 Volts Multi Region Code Zone Free Pioneer DV-2042K DVD Player with DivX, Karaoke and USB Input by Brannan Mclemore

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not bad for $60. Nice little player. DVD+R DL playback is fine.

I needed a DVD player that could play DVD+R DL and this does it perfectly. No problems and loads very quickly. The remote control is a bit small, but I still don't need it. I have a Harmony 1100 remote that works great with it. So no problem. The player seems very light and the door is not very well made. This player seems to be inferior in build quality to what I expected from Pioneer. But what is is. And it works. So I can't complain. Would I buy it again? Maybe. Especially now that I can't find any new Denons anymore. The player doesn't have HDMI outputs, but it does have a tricolor component output. So it will work. It has progressive scan capabilities and DTS output. So actually quite good. It's a pretty decent little player, to be honest. So, like I said, I can't complain much. I will complain about it. Why does everyone and their moms need to add a stupid karaoke function to these players? 98% of you still can't sing and sound like a dying cat in a mixer. Why do people feel the need to cause this suffering to everyone else? Do us a favor, stop thinking you can really sing. You can not! Please, for God's sake, shut up!
