Review on Adjustable Elastic Shirt Garter With Non-Slip Clamps For Men - JELINDA Shirt Stays Ideal For Police, Military And Formal Wear by Isaac Samal

Loving them so far on my review.

Jelinda Adjustable Shirt Stay GartersI was a bit skeptical at first reading through reviews as a lot of them were with either for heavily discounted or free product samples. That being said, this is my second day wearing them for 12 hours straight on both days, and they feel even better the second day. For the sake of clarity and comparison, I’ll be comparing the Jelinda Shirt Stays with "Y” shaped ones with removable tabs I’ve worn for a few months for the rest of this review.Pros:Versatility:These are far more versatile than the "Y” shaped ones as they can be used with shorts and trousers you want to either go with the sockless look or wear no-show socks. You simply can’t wear "Y” shaped ones with shorts or with trousers with either no or a half break as they’d be visible.Comfort:As others have mentioned, due to the very nature of how these are worn they’ll tug at your leg hairs but this hasn’t been all that noticeable for me, personally. As already mentioned, I’ve worn these for 12 hours straight two days in a row and am only rarely conscious that I’m wearing them and that’s a good thing.Durability:As I’ve only had them for two days I can’t speak to that yet but they seem pretty durable given their materials.Utility:I hate to address a very personal aspect of using shirt stays but it needs to be done so you can fully know what you’re getting into. When going number one, for men at least, I’ve found that both these and the "Y” shaped ones are easy to get around. However, that’s not the same for number two. When comparing these with the "Y” shaped stays it’s much more convenient to disengage these when you have to go to the restroom. With these all you have to do is unhook the front portion and they can easily be moved to your sides allowing you to take care of business. With the "Y” ones you have to disengage at least one tab/clamp to be able to sit down (the one attached to the socks) but then you have to worry about them hanging about on the floor.Activities:I work with kids so I’m up and down a lot, on me feet, and occasionally playing sports with them as well. With the "Y” shaped ones I tended to notice them when I sat as the tension was reduced, and then again once I became active again, but with the Jelinda ones that doesn’t happen. This is a minor detail but could be worth noting. In terms of stability when engaging in activities, I have had the "Y” shaped ones disengage. Obviously, this could happen with these but hasn't so far (two days in).Cons:Unfamiliarity:If you’ve not used shirt garters before I’d recommend experimenting with attaching them some time before you have to wear them so if you mess up, get frustrated, or don’t like how they fit, you don’t run out of time to make use of them. I usually attach them to the shirt the night before to save time and prevent hiccups.Edit: Now we're six days in and I've noticed some small holes where these attach to my linen shirts. That being said, given their open weave I can't say if said holes are there as part of how linen handles these kind of clamps. I'll update about my cotton and cotton blend shirts.

Pros
  • Ensures an immaculate look throughout the day
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find the correct size and fit
