Review on Huawei Freebuds Pro MermaidTWS with Active Noise Cancellation - Silver Frost by Ojasvi Shahas ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I definitely do not advise buying, the product disappointed.

Before that, for the last 10 years, all my headphones (from computer to wired plugs and headsets) were from Sennheiser. The latter have served faithfully (wired) for more than 5 years. But I decided to try something modern. I really regret that I bought this odoroblo with a cloud of sensors and bells and whistles. To talk on the phone, I take out the good old wireless headset of the same company, or simply turn them off.

Pros
  • Good sound. The ability to use each earpiece separately (while one is charging, the other can work). Noise cancellation is also good, but since there is nothing to compare with, let it be a plus. Fast charging and long battery life. Many write that the case is uncomfortable, I don’t know, I got used to it right away and I like the fit of the headphones in it.
Cons
  • 1) The most important. This is the sound quality for the interlocutor. You can't do without a mat. Interlocutors say that the sound is depressing. Gurgling, quacking, especially if the environment is noisy. Sound quality directly correlates with the level of noise around. If a car drives by, that's it - the interlocutor will not hear a single word of yours, but what he hears will make him just hang up so as not to go crazy. Sometimes out of the blue the sound becomes disgusting in a quiet apartment. The sound is so lousy that it is simply impossible to talk. But the number of microphones in these headphones is almost the main marketing ploy that I fell for. 2) The troubles began with the unpacking itself. I unpacked it on the street, it turned out that inside the ear pads they just lie unsecured. As a result, exactly the size I needed fell out when I first opened the box and rolled under the wooden flooring. The support service said that Huawei does not sell ear pads. It's a cap, comrades. I don’t know about other manufacturers, but having bought headphones for 10k, I want to have no service and accessibility of accessories. 3) They are big. More precisely, they are huge, just a hefty canoe that sticks out of the ears. Not even the straps themselves, they are just cool, but what is in the ears. Sometimes I look with envy at people who bought headphones from other brands. 4) Inconvenient volume control. 5) It was not possible to achieve the "correct" position of the headphones, according to the accompanying software. Not with one standard size of ear cushions (I found the original ones from another person), not with cancer or a crack, at least hammer in with a hammer, no way. Therefore, I can not say why all this is necessary.
