Class D gain keeps getting better. First Tripath TA2020 appeared, then TPA3116 overtook them, and now TDA7492 chips are on top. This amplifier board is very well designed and as small as it gets. Ideal for all types of applications. I hooked it up to a small tube preamp and it sounds amazing. I'm building my own amp to replace my old Harman Kardon receiver. Two cigar boxes, one for the preamp, one for this amp and all inputs and input switches. The sound is great, the power consumption is so low and the size is so small, what more could you want. It's as good as any Class A or A/B amp I've ever owned under $1,000. An old laptop power supply is perfect for this, or grab any 19V DC power supply and get to work.
