At least it works. Best in Printer Parts & Accessories

I have used other brands of recycled toner in my M277 MFP, but in most cases there have been printing problems (ink stains, toner spills, etc.) . I thought it was worth trying Valuetoner as it has mostly good reviews. The toner was delivered quickly and well packaged. The toner cartridges were packaged very well and installed without any problems. My HP printer posted a notice stating it was not an HP part, but that's to be expected. I was able to print a demo page and some test pages. The color was ok, with slight streaks on the prints. The color accuracy of the photo print is pretty poor compared to other toners I've used. Text documents with some colors look pretty good, but printing mostly black is no big deal for a laser printer. Printing performance is not very good. I estimate that color prints (50% coverage) are 60-70% slower than using genuine HP toner. I think I had better performance when printing with a different toner, but HP certainly doesn't shy away from third-party ink/toners. Printing Word/PDF documents in black and white is faster than printing in colour, but still slower than genuine HP toner. So Valuetoner works, but not so well for complex color documents. Color accuracy is everywhere and print speed leaves a lot to be desired. However, the cost of the toner is $40 versus almost $400 for a 4HP toner (the toner costs more than the printer). So the money is not bad. If only the color wasn't so bad.
