Alaska girl is good for medical care

We have three dogs, two Shelties and a Saint. One of our Shelties is show bloodline and has a thick coat. If her hair had curled a bit, she would actually have looked like a sheep. Her skin was so dry that it rubbed against furniture and walls and looked like she had dandruff. No bugs, just dry, dry skin. A Bernese breeder friend of mine also recommended "fur oil" to me for very dry fur. I took emu oil and fur oil to a groomer to try. I thought who better to test dog products than a groomer? And I wouldn't want to fight a wet St. Bernard in the bath. Groomer tried a Saint and Sheltie with lighter coats. This gave her fur a nice sheen and smelled nice. For my sheltie with a very thick coat and dry skin, this product wasn't a strong enough conditioner. Fur oil worked much better, and I've heard of big Pyrenees breeders and show-goers using it to soften heavy fur. An emu oil spray works well if your dog has a normal to slightly dry coat, but for more extreme conditions try coat oil.
