Review on Ridgid EB4424 Sander Oscillating Edge by Walter Day

good. Let me say I really like this car. It works exactly as promised. So what's the problem. I bought it 4 days ago from this big store because IF you do it's CHEAPER and it has a LIFETIME GUARANTEE. So far, so good. I read yesterday that people were having problems with a specific part called the fan that connects the spindles and the oscillating assembly, such as the impeller. This part is plastic and does not work. I went to RIDGID to order a replacement part and found it was OBSOLETE. In fact, you can't buy it anywhere. After contacting Ridgid I was told the drive mechanism had been changed but the model number had not. So there is no way of knowing if you have a "newer" or a "newer" device. The problem is buggy and VERY sneaky.
