If you like the enclosed instructions, which are in no way related to the product, you can make your own mounting hardware and read gibberish, but enjoy looking at one absolutely gorgeous and unique ceiling fan, it could be for you! LOVE a fan but not a "fan" of Hunter product packers and tech writers. Seriously, it was a challenge. This fan is intended for installation in a structure and not in any type of control box. I ended up building my own mount and figuring out everything else myself and YES I would do it again. The end result is the center of attention in my room now and is the first thing people comment on. I hung it with the "Bronze Scroll 19 1/4" Wide Ceiling Fan Ceiling Medallion and the effect was perfect! It's perfectly balanced right out of the box with enough mid-level airflow to keep me in the Sheet at night There is no remote control and I can't say I'm missing one.
