Three of my boys have ruined a lot of good shoes over the years. I've learned that sometimes spending more for extra quality makes a big difference. These shoes are not only beautiful, but also functional and reliable. My son can walk in them and scratch them and they still look good. I ordered his normal size and was concerned it looked too long and tight; However, he dresses well and they are comfortable for him (he is 5 years old and usually complains). If anything, they're a little longer than other brands, but he wears them comfortably and has room to grow. The floor leaves no scuff marks on my parquet floor and they are noiseless, when he walks - in contrast to other shoes with firmer soles. The soft sole is also a plus! In general, excellent fashionable moccasins for a boy!
