This product has not been rated yet and there is nothing else available. So I was hoping to get an inexpensive solution to detecting carbon monoxide levels in a car. The body of the device and the overall appearance of the device make it a quality product. However, before I could trust this device, I had to test it. I put it in my car as described. I then left my car to work in the garage to increase carbon monoxide levels. I bought two of these devices and only one worked. It also didn't work until 20-25 minutes of work in a closed garage. I removed the device that turned off and let the other device work for about 45 minutes and it never turned off. I would suggest that for an enclosed space like my garage with the car running, the device fires earlier and the second device fires at the same time as the first. That being said, if I can't trust the device, I can't use it. Especially when you rely on the device itself to protect you. I had the fuses in place and I wasn't in the garage. There is no need to contact the manufacturer or shipper because if the device works as they advertised, especially this one, it should have worked the first time. Why should I replace it?
