I bought these as a backup and rock light. They work great for the price. I'm sure you could pay more and get a better cable and build, but it's not worth it if you're using cloth tape and a wiring harness. I also smeared clear silicone on the back of the wire. They use some black silicone but it doesn't look like a good sealant. I know it's sealed now. The only thing that bothers me is that I don't like how far they stick out. I would like a smoother one. I tried using my lathe and removing the backing so it would sit flush. Don't try. I just saved you an LED. As soon as I filled it in, the LED popped right out of the lens. This back 1/6 holds the LED. One for the trash but 1 left. Unfortunately, they didn't work as reversing lights because they weren't bright enough. You are not 9W. Super bright up close but they only shine a few feet away. Ideal for stone lanterns or marker lights, but they cannot be used for reversing lights or fog lights. For the price, you can't beat them for rock headlights or undercarriage lights. Bright enough for that.
