Clippers not sharp when grooming feet, hands and nails

I bought this to use on my child's nails but it's not the right tool for the job. The hair clipper is not only a bit clumsy, but also not sharp. His nails were jagged and rough. I had to carefully file them after cutting, which was difficult for a squirming child.
