I accidentally found a very large/deep screen at my local Kroger store, by accident I think. It was the only one and it didn't have a price, barcode or anything like that, but I knew I wanted it as soon as I saw it. In the end they gave it to me"gave". It doesn't even have identification marks on it, so I don't know who makes it. I really like it but the holes on it are almost 5mm. The reason I bought this particular "Deep Shovel" strainer is because the distance between the "claws" is 4mm. I'm just trying to get as many little nuggets as possible. So overall I like it, but it's only marginally better than my other shovel. First, it's a smaller shovel than the one I have, but that really wasn't an issue. Second, I've noticed that it picks up small lumps a little better, but remember, the difference is only 1mm. If it's too close together, you'll never sift. Third, it seems to keep it a little cleaner, but it's hard to say since I'm not the type to clean it very often. Overall I like this shovel, I use it now and will probably continue to use it. FYI I use Tidy Cat, blue top, red top, regular clumping filler. UPDATE: I broke the "hard grip" the other day. So sad because I felt like I didn't have all my "tools". When I started using this scoop I only saw a slight improvement but my eyes opened a little wider when it was gone. I had to resort to my old shovel that I used to like. what was i thinking Anyway, here's how good this scooper is. My rating just got a 5 based on 5-6 months of experience with it based on the shovel itself. I almost didn't give an extra star because it broke. However, since the seller fully endorses this product, I know that in the event of marriage, it will be replaced. The seller responded quickly and after 2 days I already had a new shovel. You couldn't wish for better. Also, I've gotten better at cleaning the litter box, mostly because you don't have to worry as much about small pieces if you catch clumps early on. But without a doubt, this shovel is the best I've ever used and it's very easy to clean.
