I stumbled across this baketivity set and thought it would be a fun idea for kids on a rainy day. Also, it was created by Highlights Magazine! So it's cool! It was rainy and cold last weekend so I got this kit out and let my 8 and 6 year olds play with it. They didn't really need much help from me, they basically just found mixing bowls and prepared them. I also checked some measurements before they combined them. But in fact they were able to do most of the work themselves, which is amazing! The cookies actually tasted really good. Not surprising, but not terrible either. The kids were of course in seventh heaven that they made it themselves and thought this was the best cookie in the world. So, my final thoughts. Obviously this is really overpriced. You can buy dry ingredients in bulk at the grocery store for a few dollars. But still the kids had fun and really enjoyed how easy it was for them to follow the instructions. All in all a fun activity for kids! 4 stars!
