Review on Ultimate Kah Kee Backpack: Waterproof Multipurpose Pro by Adam Bonde

Revainrating 5 out of 5

BEST Office/Fitness Combo Backpack

Update 8/12/19: STILL give this bag a 5 star rating after 9 months. I use it every day to take to work and the gym. I canceled my gym membership a few months ago to be honest as I mainly work out at home but this is still a quality bag for everyday use. The material and zippers look just as good as the original purchase. It also doubles as a great overnight holdall for a change of clothes. Note: one of our friends bought a diaper bag from Kah & Kee and it's great quality too so I won't hesitate to buy one of her other bags. if you don't need that! Initial Rating: This is my rating after my first unboxing and full day of use between office and gym. I can't comment on the durability of the backpack just yet, but I will say that I believe it will be as durable as any other well-made backpack I've made. Style to another much more expensive backpack. Don't let that put you off, this is a well made backpack with heavy weight and quality materials as you would expect. Perfect for the office/gym, this backpack is compact but holds everything you need well and doesn't feel like a duffel bag.Quality: 5 stars to see if there are any loose, stretched seams or frayed fabrics. I was very impressed with the craftsmanship of the bag and have seen more expensive bags that had a significantly lower build quality. All zippers are very strong, slide smoothly and should last a long time. The fabric that makes up the bulk of the bag is high denier nylon, probably in the 1600 range and should be very durable for everyday use. The fabric keeps its shape well, not rough and not stiff. The mesh padding on the back and shoulder straps is good and adds just the right amount of comfort without being bulky or uncomfortable. This gives it a clean "professional" look. My only complaint, and it's a fairly small one, is that the zippers and pulls, big as they are, tend to jingle more than most other backpacks I've owned. Not a major issue, just something I noticed when I first went with it. Overall, the build quality of this backpack easily compares to bags in the $100-$150 range. Features: 5-star gym. However, this thing is phenomenal for that purpose. The bottom shoe compartment fits my size 11 sneakers and leaves room for more (see photo). When shoes are in the shoe compartment they take up space in the gym (like any gym bag with a shoe compartment) but I still have enough room to fit my bulky sweatpants, shirts, shorts, socks and underwear as there is very little space left. So you can easily accommodate almost everything you need for the gym. For what I call the laptop/office compartment, the laptop sleeve hangs about 1 inch from the bottom and should easily fit a laptop up to 15.4 inches. A total of 5 organizers consisting of two pen holders, two versatile pockets and a large zippered mesh pocket. The mesh pocket was big enough for my laptop charger and made it easily accessible. Two all-in-pocket pockets, each about 4x5. Finally, the remaining space in the laptop/office compartment offers room for a laptop or folder, but that's about it. Don't expect this to be a student book bag because it just wasn't made for the purpose. The top handle is interesting, while not bad, just different than most bags I've had. It's like a piece of memory foam wrapped in mesh. It's slightly larger and more like a side carry-on handle. I think if your hands are too big and you prefer to carry your bag by the handle from time to time, then that's an advantage for you, but not a disadvantage for anyone if it makes sense. Last but not least, and probably my favorite feature, are the large quick access pockets at the top of the bag. I like to keep my sunglasses in a case when I carry them in my backpack and it is difficult or impossible to fit them into most quick access backpack pockets. You can see from the photos the case fits easily in my RayBan case and can actually hold 3 or 4 cases it's that big. This keeps them securely in the center of the bag yet easily accessible.
