I bought this for a 65lb lab mix - the size was big and I really wanted to like it but after about 8 uses it fell apart. My dog is good at staying on the trail - not banging into bushes or smashing sacks on trees. And yet Velcro fasteners and straps come loose from the pockets. It can be repaired, but I need to replace the straps with longer ones so that more than the edge is sewn to the bag. More stitching and longer straps would have made them much better. It was a comfortable design for my dog - didn't chafe or chafe on long hikes, but is difficult to keep straight even with a tight fitting and very balanced pack.
