This is a great value set of pliers in four useful configurations. Three out of four pliers have blades for cutting wire. I've tested them all and they make clean cuts with little effort. I also held the cutters up to the light to see if the light would get through. This is done to check if there are raised areas on the blades that could interfere with cutting. They all passed the exam. The knife blades fit perfectly. The orange handles are textured for a good grip. Other pliers of this type have smooth handles that can be slippery, especially if they have some oil or sweat on them. The processing is acceptable, but not professional. The surfaces of each tool are polished, but the edges are not. The edges are painted matt black. It's not the best workmanship, but acceptable for a do-it-yourselfer. Lineman pliers have a slight play in the hinge which can cause the jaw tips to shift slightly. Again, this is a sign of a budget tool not tuned to professional standards. I doubt it will have much impact on performance. Side cutters and long-nose pliers have no play and their jaws are perfectly aligned. The large tongs have a slip joint so I didn't expect them to have that orientation. Each of these tools is coated in light machine oil that needs to be wiped off before use. acceptable for the average handyman. They cut well and should provide good utility for their intended purpose.
