Review on 📸 Neewer Stainless Steel Light Stand: Portable & Heavy Duty Studio Softbox Support (79"/200cm, Silver) by Cody Henry

UPDATE: As of 4/23/2019 - so I've ordered a replacement and sent another one back to the company to replace for me as well. Same problem: the top wing nut loosens after a few uses. The stand itself is sturdy and while all the parts worked it was great. Anyway, the flimsy constant light coaster kits I've received hold kids up better, so I'll get back to that. UPDATE: As of 4/8/2019 - After sending in a photo and speaking to a representative, the wrong part to fix a broken stand. I had already bought a new stand from them and envisioned the right part so I would have TWO working stands. When I informed the rep that they had sent the wrong part, she let me know it was the best they could do and suggested I go to my local hardware store to get the correct parts that I needed (as I didn't). . haven't tried it yet). My only option now is to return it but I didn't keep the packaging as I didn't think I would have to send it back if they sent me what I needed to have it repaired. My only solution is to buy another OTHER coaster and use this box to return the broken one, but I don't need three coasters. Even though the rep tried to help me, I'm still downgrading the star rating because I feel they could do better than sending me the wrong part (especially since I sent a photo so they know exactly which part I need) and their reluctance to even try to send the correct part. Another rep, whom I didn't hear from until I called their customer service team, offered to replace the part for $15. $15 for a wing nut and bolt. UPDATE: As of March 21, 2019 - After speaking to a Neewer customer service representative about the broken part, they were very helpful and offered to pay me to send my stand back and have it replaced. with new. However, this only required a new wing nut so I decided to buy another stand and they agreed to send me a replacement wing nut for the stand I had. I didn't want to return a good stand when all it needs is a spare and I can use the backup. This is an economical and durable lightweight stand. I have several Neewer products and am happy with all of them. First post-use update: When I did my first review, I only used it once. It holds my flash and softbox perfectly. There is no problem. This is a heavier rack compared to the racks that come with the basic lighting kit. However this was delivered on February 22nd, it is March 18th - and after a few uses the top wing nut just stopped working. I have contacted the company by phone and left a message as well as an email and sent photos if needed and am now awaiting a reply. It would be great to be able to buy replacement parts instead of buying a whole new light stand. Attached is a photo of the defective part. I'm giving my 5 star rating because I really like the stand and I'm hoping to replace the part I need to keep using it. First review: A great stand for the price. I needed something with a wider base to support my flash and 60" softbox without fear of them tipping over and it's perfect. Highly recommended.
