This is the best ring coaster, works better than anything we've had before. Much stronger and don't worry about the ring light tipping over. Worth every penny.

I bought this stand in October 2019 and have used it maybe a few times. Today I took it off to shoot indoors and the locking mechanism that keeps the stand at different heights no longer works, so there is now no way to adjust the height of the stand. Very disappointed with this product as I have had good experiences with Neewer products in the past. Now I have to figure out what to do with this big piece of junk because I can no longer use it as a lighting stand.

This tripod is cheap compared to some other all metal brands but just as good. Feels very good, the metal handles don't feel like they can be removed easily, definitely a quality stand. The ONLY thing you need to consider though is that if you have something really heavy it may tip over as the 'base' of these coasters isn't very heavy so something super heavy like a really heavy light with a heavy softbox can tend to tilt. I was skeptical about this lightweight stand because of the price and the misleading of what "heavy duty" means for each person. To my surprise, the quality convinced me. This shelf is really durable. I currently have a super heavy professional flashlight and a very small 24 inch umbrella. But I also successfully used a 54" Octobox and an 86" umbrella without any problems. I added 22mm casters (sold separately) so I can easily move the stand between two shooting locations. UPDATE: As of 4/23/2019 - so I've ordered a replacement and sent another one back to the company to replace for me as well. Same problem: the top wing nut loosens after a few uses. The stand itself is sturdy and while all the parts worked it was great. Anyway, the flimsy constant light coaster kits I've received hold kids up better, so I'll get back to that.
