They are easy to put on and fairly easy to remove

They attach very well to high chairs. I'm not sure about other finishes, so I can't comment on that. They are easy to glue in place and fairly easy to remove. The kid hasn't figured out how to pull them off yet, so this will help now. Buy a few packs, don't spend $18 on a special silicone pad ($18 really for a pad - the manufacturers are crazy.) Nothing is 100% kid safe with young children. This helps if your child is still using the high chair. Not sure about anything else. May the odds always be in your favour.
