ideal for learning how to form letters
4 year old already knew his alphabet but needed some practice to write letters. It took several sessions to figure out why he kept telling him to try again (you can't lift the pen halfway through a letter, which is tempting when you're trying to see where the lightpath is ). But once he got the hang of it, he became hooked! We kept it in the car most of the time so the time in the car wasn't boring or a waste of time. He still enjoys using it (tracing letters and counting the sparkling dots that appear after each successful chase) even though he's in kindergarten now. I wish the pen cable was a little longer.
